Dental Scaling

What is tartar?

Tartar is the remnants of minerals in your saliva as well as food that you have eaten. It is the main cause of gum infection and gingival diseases such as periodontitis.

When tartar forms below the gum line it is particularly problematic as it solidified and difficult to removed.

It is necessary to have tartar removed through regular dental visits once every six months.

If tartar problems are neglected, they can develop into the gingival disease periodontitis. Although his condition does not lead to tooth decay, it causes an infection in the gums that can destabilize teeth and cause them to fall out.
